Grace Ingraham is an independent artist in the greater Kansas City area. She originally studied fine art and art history at Emporia State University in Kansas, and she graduated with a bachelor's degree in art history from Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts in 2009. Although she eventually went back to school to become a physical therapist assistant, she continued to draw in her free time. In February of 2015, Grace Ingraham Fine Art Studio was formed.
I have always felt compelled to draw horses due to their natural beauty, and although most of my drawings are inspired by all things equestrian, I am also happy to accept commissions for dogs, cats, and occasionally a variety of other subject matter.
I work exclusively in pencil because I love the amount of detail it affords. For all of my drawings, I work from at least one reference photograph, and every drawing is a journey and a challenge to both capture the essence of the original image and to breathe new life into it in a new medium.
If you have any questions about original artwork, prints, or commissioned work, please feel free to contact me via email or the message link at the top right corner of my website -- I'd be happy to talk with you!
